Question: My friend is diabetic and his leg sometimes just feels lifeless. It is as if it is dead. It happens sometimes when he is walking . Is there cause for concern ?

NCS and EMG studies along with doppler ultrasound of the lower limbs can be advised as part of the workup. Blood sugar tight control would also lead to blunting the speed of progression.
