Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
PCOS is characterized by altered hormonal milieu.
Weight loss is critical to management, even 5 % loss of body weight can regulate cycles.
May I know what preparation she was on initially, and which is the current one that she is taking ?
As she is having spotting continuously since 2 weeks, this is breakthrough bleeding, and the hormones are not enough for her.
SHe should be switched to a newer brand with higher hormone content.
All the best

She was on Dynette and this reduced the size of her cyst which was quite big. She has white coat syndrome and had to have a high blood pressure monitor on for 24 hours this showed she had HBP during the day she has quite a stressful job however was normal at home. She is now on Gedarel 20/150. The depression is very worrying. Thank you
Brief Answer:
AS BELOW
Detailed Answer:
Actually Dianette is better for PCOS composition wise , she can go back on it.
As the BP at home is normal, dont worry.
PCOS patients often have depression.
As a first resort, behavioural therapy and counselling should be tried for it.
Take care.
