What Causes Light Brown Urine While Experiencing Dehydration?
Question: Can Tumeric and or dehydration make my urine a light brown??? Also I really hurt my back a couple weeks ago..
Brief Answer:
Dehydration can change colour of urine
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Yes many foods and dehydration can change colour of urine to dark brown. Turmeric, if cooked, does not cause colour change. If it is taken raw, it can have some effect. Back injury, if it involved soft tissue/muscle damage can also cause urine colour changes.
Fish oil can also cause some changes in gastrointestinal flora and may result in stool and urine colour changes. Rarely it may cause intestinal bleeding.
Urine colour changes should not be a cause of concern unless accompanied by other symptoms.
Hope that answers your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
