What Causes Light Flashes In The Eye?

Examination by retina expert required
Detailed Answer:
My Dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us
This white crescent shaped light you see is due to some degenerative changes occurring in the peripheral part of retina. This has to be examined by a retina expert to rule out any peripheral retinal degenerative changes and to decide if any intervention like laser photocoagulation is to be done or is to be kept under observation to watch further progress.
The black spot you are seeing is called a vitreous floater. These are fibrills which appear in the vitreous humour of the eye and are usually innocuous and we ask the patient to to ignore it. At best vit.C 500 mg could be taken for 6 weeks.
please do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
