What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding While On Prednisone?

Posted on Mon, 20 Mar 2017
Question: Period for over a month, after taking a six day dose of prednisone. Always regular, but heavy. Been lightly bleeding for about a month, now heavily bleeding with large clumps of blood. I typically experience some clumps during a period but not this large. Taken two pregnancy tests, negative and havent been on birth control for 4 years. Very sensitive to medicine.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
I understand your anxiety about the issue
I would like to advise an ultrasound via transvaginal route to delineate the problem at the earliest.
Listening to your complaints it seems like an endometrial polyp or an ovarian cyst.
Get ultrasound and then we can discuss the report and plan further management accordingly
All the best
