What Causes Lightheadedness While On Metformin And Tamsulosin?
No lightheadedness isn't due to combination of your medications!!!

I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.
I feel sorry for the uncomfortable situation you have to face. Your lightheadedness isn't due to the combination of Metformin and Tamsulosin. Infact there is no Pharmacologic/chemical interaction between the two substances.
Yes Tamsulosin is actually the cause of headache, dizziness and lightheadedness in many patients. (Actually It causes a phenomenon we name as Orthostatic Hypotension that simply means that it causes a slightly low blood pressure and causes lightheadedness in short but all these are limited for the first few doses only).
Many of the diabetics also feel dizziness due to the side effects of Metformin. It causes low blood sugar levels and dizziness or even altered sensorium.
Final suggestion:-
Please consult your treating physician to review your medications according to the appropriate indications. He will go for the complete evaluation including thorough physical examination and taking the vital signs (including blood pressure) and will better suggest how to proceed accordingly.
