What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Sleeplessness While Suffering From Mild Slip Disc Problem?
Question: I m having a mild slip disc problem for about 3 months.Recently doctor has prescribed two new medicines
1)Fine Nerve
2) Daflon 500.
But I got problem after about two dosages only.My digestive system gone haywire,No appetite for food and long hours sleep .The doctor proscribed above mentioned medicines and given digestive related medicine.But nothing is helping actually heavy head,weakness,no- motion,no appetite,lot of sleep.
Please suggest some solution .

You can stop these medicines immediately. Though the medicines are not standard treatment for the back pain and nerve problem it may not suit for every one. I think you should go back to the same doctor for change. Both of them are just supplements are not for specific slipped disc.

Were some X ray or MRI done?
A better pain medicines should be given. You need supportive treatment alone now with pain medicine and some postural suggestion. I would suggest wearing a brace during daytime for back or cervical collar for neck. Avoid bending, jerks to neck or back and do hot fomentation. You can apply diclofenac gel(volini gel) after fomentation.The gel may be rubbed gently for 5-10 minutes till it dries on skin
use soft firm mattress and lie in most comfortable posture for back and soft thin pillow for neck.
In case pain radiates to legs or arms, a traction by a physical therapist for back or using four post traction brace for neck.
Take pantop DSR for stomach ,digestion problems that you have.
Use Isapgol (naturolax husk) with milk or water at bedtime for constipation
tramadol tablets twice a day if severe pain.
You may take help of an orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist for examination,xray/MRI and treatment and consult for advise given above.
