Question: My daughter had her gallbladder removed yesterday and she is very ill today her number have all gone in the wrong direction. She went into the ER on sunday with a low grade fever, and headache. She is an IV Meth addict. Something is wrong, could it be Hepatitis or something worse? She has a friend who just recently got out of the hospital due to Hep A he almost died.

Brief Answer:
Post cholecystectomy complication? wait and see, Will recover

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. With just one day of cholecystectomy i would say its too early to call the procedure failure. If by numbers you mean her blood work up is deranged like ALT or AST or any other blood test, so yes hepatitis is a complication in some procedures but it does not mean that is lethal . Easily manageable and full recoverable. Just wait and see, hang in there, let her doctors take care of her. It will take some time.

Nutshell cholecystectomy takes time for recovery. her IV drug abuse might have played a role in it but hope for the best. Recovery is very common and very rapid. You will see the difference soon.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and her and don't forget to close the discussion please.
