Hi,

Your detail history and clinical examination needed to reach up to cause. If your pain is unilateral and throbbing nature along with nausea, intolerance to loud noise, bright light like symptoms then it could be migraine.

For that ibuprofen is prescribed and if that does not help then rizatriptan is prescribed. Your blood pressure should be checked If you are having band like constricting headache than stress should be ruled out as it might be stress induced tension headache. Irregular meal and lack of sleep are another cause. Relaxation therapy beneficial and yoga is also helpful.

If needed, for tension headache amitryptillin can be prescribed. Consult physician for examination with keeping all this in mind to search cause for headache and accordingly get your prescription.

Hope your concern is solved. Let me know if I can assist you further.
