What Causes Low Iron Levels, Hot Flashes, Constant Fatigue And Elevated Vitamin B12?
Treat the anemia and repeat blood tests
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
Low Iron can cause hot flashes.
So my advice it is to treat the possible anemia by taking Iron as needed.
Also, I will suggest to repeat the blood test for B12. Unless you have taken that vitamin orally by sumplements, it should not be high, so we suspect for a lab mistake in this case.
If you are obese or if you eat a lot of meat, yoi can have high levels of B12 because of that.
If not, and if after repeating blood tests they are still high, then other causes of B12 can be diabetes, some type of leukemias, liver disease.
Hope this is helpful.
