What Causes Low Lymphocytes, High Blood Cells, And High Hematocrit?
Question: What causes low lympocytes, high blood cells, and high hemocrit?
Possible dehydration or polycythemia. Low lymphocytes, possibly bacterial infection or acute inflammation. More details necessary for further opinion.

This are my lab report
Brief Answer:
Possible dehydration, Take more fluids.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
I went through the attached reports, and based on the reports, my opinion is as follows:
1. RBC count is mildly increased, which has raised the hematocrit levels. The hemoglobin levels are within normal range.
2. Two possibilities exist:
a. Few RBC might be smaller in size, which has caused the increased RBC count to give a possible normal hemoglobin levels. However, as MCV is normal, the possibility of smaller RBC is low.
b. Dehydration - Reduced plasma volume has concentrated the cell counts, thereby raising the hematocrit. Good hydration will correct. These values are nothing to worry. No polycythemia is seen.
3. Improved nutritional diet, particularly iron and Vit B12 will be helpful. However, no deficiency is present as of now.
4. Lymphocytes are mildly reduced. This is due to increase in neutrophil percentages, maybe due to stress or inflammation. If the count were to be less than 5-10%, then worrisome. At present, not to worry.
5. Need to concentrate on reducing cholesterol and LDL levels as they can cause cellular stress (which could have increased neutrophils mildly). Weight reduction, moderate exercises and balanced diet is necessary. Medications not necessary at present, but if it continues to be above normal range, maybe needed in future.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
