Question: one additional bit of info I am currently on 8lt oxygen 24hrs a day.

you asked for my health history. five full term pregnancys - tonsilectomy
appendectomy---1987 stopped smoking/pneumonia hospital 2wks. 2002
repeated the double pneumonia senario 2006 diagnosis multiple myaloma.


2010 diagnosi pulmonary hypertension treated with amalodine/norvassc.
july 2014 was told ihad pulmonary fibrosis with 2 t0 6 months to live.
13 months later I am still here and improved. I am on 7 ltrs oxygen 24/7.
curently recovering from bacterical pneumonia.

You need to take oxygen lifelong.

Thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, you are having end stage Pulmonary disease (Pulmonary fibrosis) .
And this is the reason for your low oxygen level and oxygen need in your case.
Pulmonary fibrosis is irreversible condition.
But with anti oxidant like N acetyl cysteine (NAC) and anti fibrotic (perfinodone), in some cases progression of fibrosis can be halted.
So ask your doctor to start these drugs.
Chest physiotherapy and deep breathing exercises are also good for improvement in lung function and oxygen level.
Adult Pulmonary vaccines like pneumococcal and Influenza vaccines are beneficial in prevention of recurrent respiratory tract infection.
So discuss all these with your treating doctor.
