What Causes Low Serum Progesterone Values Even After Progesterone Supplement?

Question: Hello, I am a 37 year old who had a frozen embryo transfer on 4/10/14 and now I am six days post transfer. When I went in for a blood test 4 days after my transfer my progesterone level was only 10.4 but my doctor said it was great. Reading up on it, it looks to me like it was low. I am on progesterone supplements 3 x's daily , but was curious why he didn't up the amount since from my research it should have been at 16.

Brief Answer: Yes Detailed Answer: Hi only serum progesterone values are not of much significance when you are already on appropriate dose of progesterone. Values between 6 and 17 are normal progesterone level. There is no use of increasing progesterone suppliments. Please go by your doctor's advice. Let me know if you have any more questions.
