Seems to be an issue with the spine and needs an MRI Scan to confirm!!!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for consulting and your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.
I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

It seems to be due to muscular spasm or there is an issue with the spine. Spinal vertebrae can get osteoarthritic and osteoporotic changes due related to age and is very common in postmenopausal women. Also in many people there is a spinal intervertebral disc diseases that causes pain in lower back and that can be on one side or both sides. Actually the disc displaces off its original anatomical position that causes approximation of the two adjacent vertebrae due to loss of disc's cushioning effect.

When the vertebrae adjacent to each other get approximated, they cause pinching of the spinal nerves that are passing in between the vertebrae while emerging out from the spinal cord to supply their respective sites. You don't seem to have much of the nerve pinching that are supplying the legs otherwise there should have been some pain in legs too. But degenerative bone disease of the vertebral column has caused pain for you. In any case you need an MRI for confirmation of the cause and I am sure it will be best to go for one.

For that purpose I suggest you to consult an Orthopedist for proper evaluation and management.

Meanwhile when you get the appointment, keep applying ThermaCare Heat Wraps for soothing comfort from pain. Take Excedrin Extra Strength and Neurontin by mouth for pain and apply Voltaren gel on affected area and massage it gently. You may also use heat pad for giving heat while resting.

Precautions:-
Don't bend forward and don't lift heavy weights.
Use Lumbosacral Corset to feel comfortable while on the go on daily life routine.
Sleep on a flat and hard surface, straight supine at least for the time you can manage it easily.
Take plenty of water and keep a balanced healthy diet.
Take one multivitamin daily.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you.
