What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain After Taking I-pill?

Question: My Wife is having a lower abdomen pain after taking an i Pill, how to get rid of it ? Please let me know.

I would like to know , when did she take the pills?
and since when the pain has started?
Is the pain associated with any urinary or bowel complaints or nausea and or vomiting?
Has the pain started after sex act?

In general, if teh nature of pain is colic type, antispasmodic medication will be of help.

She took the pill on Saturday night 11:30PM. This is the first time she's taking the pill. Pain has started from yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. Nope, it's not associated with any urinary or bowel complaints and any of the above mentioned.

What is Antispasmodics ??
Please tell the name of the tablets/Syrup, i need that pain to stop right now.

Antispasmodic is medicine to stop spasm or twist like pain.
Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for combination tablet of Dicyclomine and mefenamic acid or Hyoscine with paracetamol or Dicyclomine and paracetamol

She can lie down or her tummy , to relieve the pain .

Thanks for your Medication suggestions. is it really necessary to take her to hospital or we can directly buy the above medicines and start taking them. Let me know. Why am i asking this ? She's getting hesitated to go to hospital.

I have one more question -

Two to three drops of blood is seen today. Does it indicates implantation as not occurred ? Will there be any changes in her Period cycle and is there any chances to get any other pains ? Please let me know

She's not ready to take any medicine nor ready to consult any doctor. What happens if she don't take any medications ?? Is there any other way to reduce it by using household items ? Please let me know.

It can be withdrawal. Not implantation bleed. Try Ajwain or fenugreek seeds

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

As you might be aware that emergency contraceptive pills have erratic withdrawal bleeding. It can be early or late, and it can be scanty or heavy.
What she is getting can be due to hormonal effect of the pills. It is not implantation bleeding.

As discussed earlier, she can lie down on her tummy, or she can try chewing 3 to 4 fenugreek (methi)seeds and swallow with warm water. Ajmoda or Ajwain can also help.
