side effect of siphene
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Firstly I want to assure you that you are in safe hands as the treatment given to you is appropriate.
The pain you are experiencing is due to the effect of Siphene drug which is an ovulation induction drug.
It is seen very often and will subside with periods or in case pregnancy occurs then it will subside in another two weeks from now.
This pain is due to congestion of pelvic organs and peritoneum due to the effect of cytokines released from the multiple eggs released induced so far by siphene.
It is not serious so don't feel anxious.
Fibroids are small and subserous so are not account worthy.
Your husband's test is normal
Keep taking the other medicine as prescribed.
Wish you luck, take care.
Thanks for ur reply. Is this hyperstimulation syndrome? can i go for a scan?
No need of ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Hi sir, hyperstimulation syndrome starts Around the time of ovulation and fades away eventually till the time of expected period date.
But here she is getting these symptoms in the later period and is basically exaggerated premenstrual syndrome.
In normal cycles only one egg ruptures so is the level of progesterone but in siphene stimulated cycles many eggs rupture so very high progesterone levels causing these symptoms.
So in nutshell no need to go for a scan.
I hope I have answered your question well.
All the best.
