What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain?
Question: I HAVE PAIN IN MY LOWER LEFT ABDOMEN. I POOP JUST A LITTLE AT A TIME, IT IS SOFT OR RUNNY. MY LOWER LEFT SIDE HURTS WHEN I PUSH SLIGHTLY WITH MY FINGER. CONSTANT DULL ACHE. IF IVE BEEN LAYING DOWN IT HURTS ALOT WHEN I GET UP, EASES A LITTLE WHEN AFTER I MOVE AROUND A BIT. STARTED ABOUT 48 HRS AGO. I THINK IVE BEEN RUNNING A SLIGHT FEAVER TOO.

If there is absence of vomiting and loss of appetite there is no cause for concern. Going by description of your symptoms it is likely to be due to Colitis. Exact diagnosis will however depend on clinical examination.
I would recommend the following
1. Antibiotics like Metronidazole
2. Intake of soft diet
3. High fiber diet
4. Plenty of Oral fluids
If the pain worsens then would suggest you to consult your physician for further assessment.
