What Causes Lower Back Pain And Stomach Ache?

default
Posted on Mon, 24 Oct 2016
Question: I've had ongoing low back pain and a dull stomach ache for a week. Pain travels down my butt and back of my thighs. Stomach ache feels kind of like cramps or gas. Come and goes. No appetite loss. Had a pelvic exam a couple days ago. Doctor said everything looks ok but to come in for an Ultrasound. I have one scheduled for tomorrow. I'm thinking maybe Ovarian cysts. Need some insight. Also, in peri menopause. No period for the last 7 months.

Brief Answer:
Get investigated as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Low back pain may be due to ovarian cyst, ureteric calculus or lumbar disc related nerve compression.
Is there any pain or tingling in foot?
Is there any urinary complains or sensory loss?
Get ultrasound done as appointment has been taken.
If all reports are normal then xray lumbosacral spine may be required.
Avoid exertion, lifting heavy objects.
Apply local pain reliever ointment. Take Aceclofenac or etoricoxib for pain.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I was checked and I do not have a UTI and no tingling in my foot. No sensory loss. Just a dull stomach ache and lower back pain. I will get an ultrasound and hopefully find out what is wrong. Thank you.
