What Causes Lower Back Spasm And Joint Stiffness Every Morning?
Lumbar spondylosis slip disc
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
Which joint of yours do you experience stiffness?
Do you have radiating pain from the back to the lower limbs?
It appears that you could be having a slip disc which may be accentuated by an improper posture while sleeping.
It is best to apply hot packs to the painful regions and not ice. Avoid bending neck forward or lifting weights. Do back stretching exercises and straight leg raising exercises. Take Tablet Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Ranitidine 150mg twice a day for 5 days before meals. Apply Diclofenac spray on your lower back.
Get an Xray and MRI of your lumbar spine and kindly upload for my reference.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries

X-ray needed immediately. MRI can wait
Detailed Answer:
You will need an X-ray to look for bony degenerative changes in your spine.
Since you don't have radiating pain, there is less chance of nerve compression by a slip disc and an MRI may not be required right away.
The MRI will be able to find a slip disc and if it is pressing on a nerve as well as ligaments.
Feel free to ask any further queries you're having.
