Question: I got nipped in the face by my dog last week. It barely broke the skin. However, I now have a quarter-sized lump on my face. It is on my jawbone area, right next to my lips.

Brief Answer:
is the dog immunized?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to HCM.

Mam, is your dog immunized? If yes, then you need not worry about anything.

That lump could either be a hematoma or a lymph nodes.

I would suggest that you take a course of antibiotic for five days, and it should subside if its a lymph node.

If it doesn't, then show it to a surgeon for physical examination.

Hope, i have been helpful.
