What Causes Menstruation 2 Weeks Early?

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Nov 2014
Question: I'm 45 years old. I normally have a regular menstrual cycle. However, this month I began bleeding like a normal period 14 days after my last period. Should I be concerned? I have a doctors appointment in a couple of months. I will mention it then or should I book emergency appointment?
Thanks,
doctor

Brief Answer:
No need of emergency

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to healthcare magic.

This is called breakthrough bleeding and is normal to occur once in a while due to hormonal variations.

You can go ahead with your doctor's appointment and no need of Emergency appointment
