What Causes Menstruation Bleeding At Post-menopausal Stage?

Common before actual menopause. Do some basic tests.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) Menopause occurs between 45 to 55 years after cessation of monthly period for continuous 12 months according to medical term.
At the beginning of menopause, some women may experience irregular period or bleeding due to hormonal imbalance and decreased ovarian function. It usually last for 3-5 days.
2) At this time, period bleeding may be heavy or light and longer or shorter duration. You may face some menopausal symptoms like hot flushes, sweating, vaginal dryness, mood change, sleep disturbance etc. These may continue for 6 -12 months before actual menopause.
3) Lastly, I suggest you to undergo one Trans Vaginal Ultrasound scan (TVS) and hormone profile (like FSH, TSH, serum estrogen etc) to rule out underlying pelvic pathology or organic disease.
Do these test at periodic interval for overall health check up as sudden bleeding after cessation of period needs to be little concerned.
