Brief Answer:
NO, this is not a seizure!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about the symptoms your daughter is experiencing. I have reviewed the information fully and this is not suggestive of seizures. Seizures need a documentation of a neurological manifestation and none of these symptoms is suggestive of that. With the vomiting, nausea and metallic taste, she might be having acid reflux. This occurs when juice in the stomach returns to the oesophagus and at time to the mouth causing these symptoms. I will generally put my clients on omeprazole and evaluate the response to treatment after 2days. If all is going okay, then that is the possible cause and management would be intensified.

I will suggest that you try this out. Report progress to me in 2-3days. Tylenol would help relief headaches as well. Is she having any chest pain?

Depending on her response, I will provide further guidance on how to address this problem. I hope this helps. i wish her well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
I will suggest you get an EEG!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you have seen her jerking in bed, then it could be a seizure. The best way to confirm this would be to do an EEG (electroencephalogram) which would tell us for sure if there are seizures or not. This is generally done by neurologists. The other symptoms of flashing lights may be warning signs as well. However, unless they are seen be an expert or an EEG is done, we cannot conclude that this is a seizure or not.

Please, let me know if this is a plan you would like to pursue or there is something else you would have loved us to talk about. Thanks.
