What Causes Migraines, Loss Of Libido, Brain Fog And Anxiety After Menopause?
Question: I had a hysterctomy in May 2014, I am 43 and went into early menopause 14 years ago due to polystic ovaries. I had one ovary removed 13 years ago due to cysts. I had no ha a menstrual cycle for 15 years. I had a hysterctomy because the other ovary had cysts on it. I had HRT 10 years ago but after 2 years I stared getting migrianes so doctor thought it might be due to HRT it also make me feel unwell, foggy brain. So for the last 8 years I have have developed very debilitating migrianes. I have tried many medication over the years but I'm still suffering. I was told before my hysterctomy that my oestrogen and testerone levels were very low. So I opted for a BiHT I had 100mg testerone and 50mg of estoridal for the first few months after the op I felt great my libido had returned and I had lots energy and no headaches. Unfortunately in July all my previous systems returned migrianes, loss of libido, brain fog, anxious. I was due my next implant last week, the did a blood test and my testerone level was 2 which they says means I don't need testerone bit my estrodail level was 32 so I had just estrodail implant 50mgs. I am still feeling very, tired, confused, headaches and generally unwell. Could you please advise me on what I need to do to improve my situations? I have also been on antidepressants since February 2014 as I also developed neurlgia in my head which I'm on medication for.
Brief Answer:
MAY BE FROM ANTIDEPRESANTS
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.
I understand you and I will try to help.
As your hormonal levels are normal ,all the issue that you describe may be from the use of antidepressants.
Antidepressants can cause sexual dysfunction, tiredness, confusion etc.
Hence contact with your doctor who have prescribed antidepressants because your doctor may consider:
lowering the dose,
switching antidepressant,
suggesting you to take another antidepressants
or to take a break from the medicine.
Regards

Thank you I visited him last weekend he gave me another anti depressant. However if has a sleeping sedative and I work so can't be tired during the day. I have changed to 5htp would you recommend 5HTP for depression Migrianes? Do you think my migrianes are due to my hormones?
Brief Answer:
You should wait for treatment effect
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
5HPT can be used to treat depression and Migraines.
But you should wait to give effect, and it gives effect within, minimally one month from its use.
If they not give effect within this time you should control your sexual hormones .
Al, the best
