Brief Answer:
Please get complete liver function tests and lipid profile done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
The liver is slightly enlarged in size and measures 15.5 cms. Liver size is taken normal up to 14.5 cms. There is also fat deposition in the liver. Most of the time this is related to high intake of alcohol and fatty foods. Rarely it can also be due to being overweight and genetic reasons. Infections can also cause liver enlargement.

It is important to know what symptoms you are having and the reason for getting ultrasound scan done.

Since your fasting sugar is 122 (pre diabetic stage) please have a discussion with your physician on how to maintain normal sugar levels with lifestyle changes.

I suggest that keeping in mind the increased size of liver and fatty changes, is will be better to get following tests done.
(i) Liver function tests including SGPT, SGOT, Alk Phosphatase, GGT.
(ii) Serum bilirubin levels.
(iii) HbA1C (glycosylated hemoglobin) will tell more on blood sugar levels.
(iv) Lipid profile to know cholesterol levels.

Depending on above test results, you must avoid alcohol intake and control intake of fatty and spicy foods. High cholesterol numbers are related to increased risk of heart disease.

The finding in left kidney is not a concern. Please do not worry for it.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
