Brief Answer:
Could be related

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to this forum.
Can understand your concerns.

It can be linked to diverticulitis.

But, first of all we have to rule out stomach or intestinal infection.

I suggest you to do a stool routine microscopy test.

If I was your treating doctor, then I would have given tablet ofloxacin-ornidazole two times a day for 3 days and capsule Omeprazole 20 milligram empty stomach once a day for 3 days.

However, since these are prescription medicine, i suggest you to meet the local doctor for needful.

If after 3 days of antibiotic, symptoms persist then only we should look for other causes.

I hope this will help you.
Take care.
