Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Usually loose stools is viral infection and may last a week.
You need not worry.
After a viral infection of the intestine the digestion ability will take a week more to become normal.
This is because of damage to the intestine wall by the infection.
But it will spontaneously improve as infection is eradicated by body's defence system and antibiotics.
As pus cells are normal now the infection has almost cleared from his system.
You can do stool for reducing substances to check for lactose intolerance if any.
If positive you can stop Similac and change to lactose free formula like isomil.
As there is no weight loss no need to worry.
The mucoid stools could be due to this temporary lactose intolerance.
It should settle soon.
Continue diet as advised along with probiotic.
If your child is active and playful and passing urine atleast six to eight times per day No need to worry.
Wishing your child good health and speedy recovery.

He was born on 37th week, with weight 2.43kg , length 46cm, head circumference 32 cm. Now 7 months completed, weight 7.3, length 63 cm, head circumference 41 cm. Is his growth ok? He is reluctant to eat solids
He will be placed in day care from august. Is there anything i can give him to improve immunity?
improving growth is fine
Detailed Answer:
I think he is improving given your current details, there is no need to worry.
The froth is because of incomplete absorption and will improve soon.
Growth parameters are good.
Continue breastfeeding for upto 2 years if possible.
Even a few feeds everyday will boost his immunity.
Start boiled vegetables and boiled apple.
That would help in immunity too.
