Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query and understood your concern.

The mucous production in the throat is a normal phenomenon. The constant production of heavy mucous in an healthy individual may be due to one of the following
1. Allergic reaction,
2. Constant irritation of throat due to the reflux of gastric acid
3. Any injury

If you are allergic or suffer from constant cold or running nose then treating allergic reaction and hence post nasal drip will prevent all the symptoms. Taking antihistamine drug like cetrizine for 2-3 days and daily steam inhalation and cleaning nose before sleep and in morning will help you.

The reflux of gastric acid is another very important problem which can happen even without other complaints. For this regular food habit, having food at regular intervals, avoiding full stomach, gargle with warm water 3 times a day and a 20 min walk before bed will help you.

If any local injury due to voice abuse ar cough or any other problem then also there will be constant secretion.

So in summary avoid voice abuse, regular food habit, gargle, steam inhalation will help. If not controlled try antihistamine and for reflux combination of pantoprazole with domperidone which will reduce gastric acid secretion and reflux. These measures will prevent your problem.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries. I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health.
