What Causes Multiple Small Cysts Along With Spotting?
anovulatory bleed...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the query,
As you have been spotting for a month now and the ultrasound shows that there are multiple small cysts 5-8mm which are actually normal follicles in the ovary indicating that you have not ovulated in this cycle and this bleed is an anovulatory bleed or irregular shedding due to oestrogen excess and unstable endometrium. This happens when corpus lute is not formed and progesterone is not produced in the bargain. So the treatment is progesterone.
It is advised that you should take TAB PRIMOLUT-N 5mg twice a day for next 10 days. Your spotting shall stop in 2 days. Continue the medication for 10 days and then on finishing it , you shall get your normal menses. In the next cycle , get a progesterone test done on day 21 to confirm the progesterone deficiency and then you have to be placed on progesterones from day 15-25 of your cycle for next 6 months as a treatment.

Detailed Answer:
please don't worry , they are not cysts, they are normal ovarian follicles ( future eggs/ova) which line the periphery of the ovaries and give a cystic appearance on ultrasound.
