What Causes Muscle Spasms In Lower Back Upon Physical Activity?

might be back muscle spasm; better to rule out lumbar spondylosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.
I understand your concern.
From the history you have given, it looks like some lower back muscle spasm due to sudden weight bearing or change of position. But considering your age, chances of lumbar spondylosis should be ruled out too. For that, my suggestion would be to get an Xray lumbosacral spine AP and Lateral view done. Also avoidance of sudden forward bending and lifting heavy weight should be maintained to avoid further incidence. And in patients of such complaints, I generally advise for avoiding prolonged exertion, painkillers like aceclofenac-thiocolchicoside combinations alongwith antacids and spinal muscle stretching strengthening exercises.
You can consult the above with your treating or family doctor and get prescriptions.
Hope this was helpful.
Regards.
