What Causes Muscle Tremors After Taking Vitamin B12?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
I was diagnosed with megaloblastic anemia. So I started to take Vitamin B12 1000mcg daily. But after each dose I have tremors in my muscles, especially along the spine. What causes it?
Try to change the brand!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this megaloblastic anemia and the tremors you get after taking this Vitamin B12. Are you also receiving folic acid? This s because both can cause megloblastic anemia. Were the individual blood levels of these vitamins measured?
Tremors have not been reported side effect of Vitamin B12 intake. The only possible cause that I can think of is a component(s) the non active ingredients used in producing that particular brand. I will recommend that you try a new brand of Vitamin B12 supplements and see if you would experience similar symptoms. My strongest suspicion is that the tremors will subside. Should they persist, please let me know as it may call for some thinking out of the box to decipher what is going on.
I hope this addresses your query fully and provides some guidance on how to approach this problem. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be. I wish you well.
