Brief Answer:
Stop the atorvastatin and check CK in the blood.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

There is no interaction between Prosac and Atovastatin.

On the other side, they both interact moderately with foods, so you should be aware to avoid these foods when you use them:
- While taking atorvastatin you should avoid grapefruit juice because it may increase the plasma concentrations of atorvastatin. If you take or have taken them together you may have myopathy manifested as muscle pain and/or weakness associated with grossly elevated creatine kinase exceeding ten times the upper limit of normal has been reported occasionally. Rhabdomyolysis has also occurred rarely (destruction of the muscles).
- While you are taking Prosac, I would suggest to avoid alcohol because it may potentiate some of the pharmacologic effects of it and cause impairment of judgment, thinking, and psychomotor skills.

In the situation of the symptoms you are having, I would suggest to consider stopping atorvastatin and checking your creatinine kinase and make sure that these muscle twitchings are not due to higher concentrations of atorvastatin metabolites in your blood.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
