Question: Hello.. So i am 38 yrs old... I was 9 1/2 weeks pregnant when i miscarried. I miscarried on my own no d&c. The night i miscarried i bled a bit and spotted but nothing major or like a normal period. A month later i got my period April 5th ( pretty normal period a bit more blood i would say than normal)
Last week i woke up at 430am feeling terribly nauseus feverish and bad headache. Im still very tired and lathargic like i was when i was pregnant and my stomach is bloated still maybe more despite me putting in an effort to diet and walk 5 miles a day. Im a bit concerned that something is wrong i dont feel like my normal self. Very fatigued. I did an at pregnancy test yesterday ...negative.

Brief Answer:
Did you get the chance to do an ultrasound?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. I have reviewed your symptoms fully. At this point, they do not point to any specific disease condition. It may simply be longer a little longer than normal for the body to adjust following the miscarriage. However, the bleeding during miscarriage was pretty small from my take and I would have loved to see an ultrasound done to confirm the vacuity of the uterus. In addition, keep up with the dieting and exercise. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet as well. With a negative pregnancy test, you are certainly not pregnant at this point.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Brief Answer:
UNlikley to be retained products of conception!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

With an ultrasound that showed nothing in the uterus, it is unlikely to be retained products of conception. Also, bleeding would have continued if there were retained products of conception.

I think the body is taking longer than expected to return to its initial state. Please, exercise some more patience and let's see how it goes. Don't be worried because am optimistic this would resolve without any medical intervention.

I wish you well.
