What Causes Nausea And Dizzy Spells?

Question: For the last week I have been dizzy. Once in a while I feel like I am going to faint, but it passes in seconds. Today, the room was spinning and I was nauseated. It only lasted a few hours, but I had general malaise the rest of the day. What could this be?
