What Causes Nausea, Tender Breasts And Headache After Unprotected Sex?

Question: Hello, I am 28 and just had my period end 6/28/14 but it was not the full week as usual... My husband and I are unprotected and I started to have swelled breasts, migraines, nausea.... I thought I was pregnant...today I am experiencing severe cramping in my abdomen and bleeding again..normally my periods are at least a month apart or longer....should I see a dr?
Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply
1. The symptoms you have mentioned are not related to pregnancy alone.
2. If you were pregnant the hormonal changes would take time and the symptoms related to pregnancy would arrive later.
3. There is no need / use of seeing doctor so early.
4.If you are experiencing mild spotting then this could be ovulation associated bleeding.
5. Only if it is heavy bleeding probably it is related to another menses due to hormonal variation. But pregnancy chances are low if your periods were on XXXXXXX 28 as you mentioned.
I hope your doubt is cleared.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you for your expertise. I am in a lot of pain right now and am not used to bleeding so soon after my period. I've taken 4 Advil but nothing is easing the pain.
Brief Answer:
ultrasound scan
Detailed Answer:
Hi
If pain is excessive aling with intolerable pain you definitely need an ultrasound scan to differentiate between ovulation, ectopic, and endometriosis.
Just taking pills wont suffice.
Please get an ultrasound scan done immediately and let me know the report.
