What Causes Nausea When Diagnosed With Hypothyroidism?
Question: I am a female of age 26. I had my last periods started on 26th December and lasted for 4 days. I am experiencing a nausea feeling from yesterday. Even a thought of food or anything like that gives me a vomiting feeling. Also, my cycles are bit irregular and m having hypothyroid too. Is it possible that I might be pregnant at this time? Or there are no chances of pregnancy at this time?
Brief Answer:
You are not pregnant and vomiting is not related to pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns about vomitting and possibility of pregnancy.
Following is my reply:
1. If you had your periods on 26th of December , even if you had regular cycles, you are likely to ovulate around 10th January.
2. Hence it is not possible that you might have got pregnant.
3. There is absolutely no question of pregnancy so soon.
4. Vomiting could be due to some other reasons like food poisoning or gastritis but not pregnancy.
I hope your doubt is clarified. Let me know if you wish any other information.

Dr. Soumya
