Question: been taking xanax for 25 years everyday went to take drug urin test & tested negative can u tell how that could be?

Hello,
Even though you took xanax and are taking it for last 25yrs but still have tested negative on its urine test, can be coz of few reasons-
1. you are one of the people who are rapid or fast metabolisers and so, the body gets rid of the drug and its metabolites early.

2. the test was carried out after sufficiently long time after the drug was taken and till then the body has washed out all drug and is producs from its system. This is more plausable as when one is taking a drug for very long time then the enzymes involved in its metabolizations are increased in number.

So, until and unless the test was flawed due to which you escaped the detection, the above two reasons can be behind its non detection.

blood test is more sensitive

Hello,
Comparing urine and blood test for detecting xanax ( benzodiazepines), blood test is more accurate and can detect it upto few weeks after last dosage.

In females, follicular test is able to detect presence of xanax/ benzodiazepines even after months.

Taking lots of water, foods rich in niacin or niacin supplements can speed up the digestion and elimination of xanax, making it undetectable.
