What Causes Neck And Shoulder Pain While Treating Pneumonia?

Question: I had pneumonia 2 weeks ago and they gave me 875 mg of Leviquin. I felt so much better after a few days on it. I was still very tired but doing ok. I am now experiencing some neck pain and shoulder pain. I don't really have a
Cough anymore so I am not sure why this is happening. It seems to come on at the end of the day. It is not comfortable. Help!

I can understand your concern.
Since you are improving on cough and fever, your pneumonia is mostly improved.
Pneumonia is lung infection. And in any infection, body needs time to completely get back to normal.
All infection can cause weakness, bodyache, malaise etc which gradually improve within 1 month of infection.
So your current neck and back pain are part of this only. These pain are mostly muscular in nature.
So drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Eat healthy food including proteins.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Take simple painkiller like ibuprofen if needed.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

I thought my cough was getting better but it is now turning wet again and it is starting to hurt to cough in my back. My neck and shoulder are ok but this cough is jut too much. I am taking musniex and doing my inhaler do i need another round of antibotics or what?

Proair is short acting bronchodilator.

I can understand your concern.
Proair is having albuterol.
It is short acting beta 2 agonist (SABA).
It's action lasts for only 2-3 hours. So frequent dosing is required. And so proper symptomatic control is not achieved.
Better to take long acting inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol). Their action last for 12 hours so twice daily dosing is required and hence better symptomatic control can be achieved.
