What Causes Neurocysticercosis?
Granuloma denotes old infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have read your symptoms, details and CT scan findings.
Calcified granuloma denotes an old infection, of tape worm (Taenia solium). It is also called neurocysticercosis.
The worm has died leaving a calcified residual granuloma. This is a common finding and there is no need to worry about. No treatment is necessary for this.
It is not due to old injury.
I hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,

Usually comes from infection in food.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
1. This infection comes from infected food, which you may have eaten at a function or a hotel.
2. This is not from birth, but for many years it has been there.
3. It would not increase in size, as the infection has healed.
4. It would not come again.
5. You should eat in hygienic places or better only at home.
6. CT report is within normal limits, as no treatment is needed for calcified granuloma.
7. No need of another scan now.

Disc problem in the neck and back may lead to neck and back pain, also arm or leg pain.
Initial treatment consists of physiotherapy, neck and back extension exercises. You should avoid lifting heavy weight and forward bending at waist level.
There is no harm to brain because of disc disease.
