What Causes Nodule In Midline Pelvic Area?

Question: I just had an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound done. I was told today there is a nodule in the midline pelvic area. I had a complete hysterectomy with ovaries removed in 1996. What could this be?
That is all the assistant told me. I can't get appt to see dr until Tuesday but she said it wasn't cancer or they would have me in asap. I've had pain in my lower right abdomen for 3 weeks. Very bloated and gasy, belching, passing gas. I discussed this with another doctor on this site over the weekend. I was worried it was appenticitis. Then I got this report today.

Brief Answer:
It may be due to enlarged lymph node.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
It may be due to reason like enlarged lymph node and I don't think nodule is related to pain.Basic problem may be something else like colitis(it is not well detected by ultrasound )It can also be nonspecific lymphadenitis.
It can't be appendicitis. It is tubular in nature and it is found in right lower abdomen. It is blind ended, tubular structure.
As your uterus and ovaries had been removed already,so lesion can't be related to these factors.
Most likely its is a benign finding.
CT can can be done after evaluation.
