What Causes Non-resolving Skin Rashes?
Question: Hello,
My life long best friend has been dealing with a body rash for the past 5-6 years. He is a 52 year old XXXXXXX man who has abandoned this risky lifestyle many years ago. That said, he lives in a very small town and no doctor has been able to get to the bottom of the cause; not provide relief. Since 2014 holidays, my dear friend has gone silent and put me at arms length. Today, I finally confronted him - and he told me that he is 'probably sick'. He doesn't discuss his feelings openly. I told him that I would help find the right doctor (internist, systemic specialist) that can correctly diagnose what is happening. I have been researching and wonder if this is connected to being HIV positive? I do not want to jump to conclusions, but he needs to see the right doctor - should we go to an internist, dermatologist, allergist Or? He lives in Wenatchee, WA, but wants to travel to his (our) home town of XXXXXXX WA.
