What Causes Nose Bleeding When On Steroids?

Question: I have been diagnosed with Steroid responsive encephalopathy, Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure. Taking steroids for the encephalopathy. Last evening I got this horrific nosebleed out of ithe blue and then it happened again this a.m. I have never been prone to nosebleeds. My bp last evening was 148/98. This a.m. it is 145/84. I feel like if I get up and start moving it will start bleeding again. Can I wait and see my family dr. tomorrow or do I need to consult with ER today. Thank you for your help.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that it is very difficult to comment on this situation as people can have different opinion over this . In my view you should go to ER and get yourself examined . Generally nasal bleeds can be due to high BP and patients on steroids can have fluctuant BP . I just had my 3rd nosebleed. It seems like when I bend over it starts the bleeding. Also, I have a dull headache.
