Question: My wife has had nose bleeds about every other day. She's on 3 mg of Coumadin.

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, her prothrombin ( blood clotting time ) must be high. Check prothrombin time and INR ( International normalized ratio ). I would have advised to stop coumadin for 2-3 days if bleed is more. Depending on blood report ( prothrombin time ) you can restart the medicine with low dose. Hope you find this informative.
