Brief Answer:
Yes this can be due to pinched nerve in spine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us,

I have read your query,

Yes this can be due to pinched nerve in spine.
Due to compression of nerve root there can be tingling numbness in your foot.
I will advise you to do MRI spine and EMG-NCV [Nerve conduction study] and consult to orthopaedic surgeon.

Peripheral numbness is common in diabetic but incidence is low in prediabetic.
Change your diet and remove inflammatory foods such as citrus fruits, dairy products and wheat that may aggravate peripheral neuropathy. Simultaneously increase your intake of potassium and calcium-rich foods such as bananas and avocados and green leafy vegetable.
Vitamin B12 is important in the maintenance of health and normal functioning of the nerve tissue and deficiency of it can lead to numbness. You can increase B12 level by taking meat and fish, or you can take Inj methylcobalamine.

Thats good that thyroid and cbc are normal.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care

Brief Answer:
Injectable vit B 12 are superior for achieving normal sr B12 level

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Injectable vit B 12 are superior for achieving normal sr B12 level as intestinal absorption with oral medication is not there, so I will advise to take intramuscular injection alternate day at least 6, and then repeat blood test.

If not possible then Tab hosit contains B12 which you can take daily one for few months.
You can take coffee but not very frequently.

Keep regular diabetic check up.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
