What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Hands And Feet?

Question: I am having numbness, tingling, and shooting pains in my hands and feet. It started with shooting pains in my hands, and a change in medication. It hasn't gone away even after treatment for Lyme disease (the extended panel now comes up negative for Lyme). My blood sugar was 124 at a random test. I'm exhausted all the time and I can't write anything by hand because of the numbness. Any thoughts?
Brief Answer:
s/e of plaquenil
Detailed Answer:
hi
i am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
You see I feel you should meet your rheumatologist immediately
The symptoms you have mentioned are some of the typical symptoms that happen as a side effect of taking plaquenil.
Ideally you should stop the medicine immediately
But from the query I am not sure how stable you are as far as the myositis is concerned.
Besides we need to look for rebound features when the suppressant is withdrawn
So please stop the medicine and meet your doc
Best of luck
