Brief Answer:
Get investigated as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
The numbness and tingling in thumb can be due to median neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome or cervical radiculopathy.
Is there associated pain and discomfort in hand and forearm in night?
Nerve conduction study is required for diagnosis.
Blood sugar and thyroid profile should be done.
Take pain killers for few weeks.
Steroids may be required in case of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Physiotherapy should be done.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
