What Causes Numbness In Face And Drooping Eyes?
2 possibilities
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible stroke or facial nerve palsy.
I think I would suggest that you try to get a MRI BRAIN as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can meet a neurologist urgently.
The symptoms do not mention the presence of a limb weakness or limb sensory loss. This goes more in favour of a nerve issue rather than a stroke. But the fact remains that the symptoms of the stroke are so varied that I feel I should tell you that you can get 1 to be on the safer side.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
Also, you were asking about limb numbness. No, i do not have any numbness in my limbs.
It can rarely be a migraine, but pinched nerve wouldn't cause these symptoms in face.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am glad to receive your response.
Sorry for the delay.
I think stroke and TIA should be ruled out by a MRI Brain and angiogram.
Since you have looked it up, I am sure you know that the effects can be severe.
As for migraine, it is a certain possibility.
But the disabilities are not going to happen out of it. It cannot be a pinched nerve as with pinched nerve we get pain in the back and no sensory symptoms in the face. In your case, you have sensory symptoms in face which means it is not due to pinched nerve.
And you need not do the tests directly.
I would sugest meeting a neurologist directly. Go for the tests only if he suggests.
I cannot examine you, and obviosly that restricts me.
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
