Suggest Treatment For Nasal Blockage, Sore Throat And Chest Heaviness
I have had blocked nasal for years, especially at night when I am sleeping. I only breath out of one nostril, I have reduced smell and am always blowing my nose. Recently I have been coughing a lot to the point where it is exhausting. I have a sore throat, trouble swallowing and my upper chest feels heavy. what is wrong with me? I can t stop coughing and am always clearing my throat.
Take mucolytics for relieve and drink adequate quantity of water and fluids to keep yourself well hydrated. Taking antihistamine, at bed time is helpful. Since you have a sore throat, take liquid food. Keep cough lozenges in your mouth to reduce dryness of the throat mucosa and hence coughing.
Get clinically examined by an ENT/ GP, get blood tests and X-ray PNS to detect deviated nasal septum or any other pathology that is causing you symptoms. Since you are suffering from symptoms since a long time, you are advised to get sputum, swab test , X-ray chest(AP & PA), if required CT or MRI done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected like bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, COPD, etc.
