What Causes Numbness In Feet With History Of Trauma?
Question: I am 74 dob = 4-2-40 Injured in military in 1960 side face trauma chest and stomach injuries which resulted in temporary loss of memory, ( two years after honorable discharge 6-25-60) When I began to regain memory I had life time head fracture and stomach pains as of the injuries in the service. In 1994 I had five ways bypass surgery that I think came out all right. In 2006 I had corided artery surgery and as of that I can't sleep on my left side without suffering pain like my circulation in my neck is getting cut off. I also found out I had diabetes and am taking pills for that from now on.
In 2011 they found out I had prostate cancer and I had radiation treatment for that and they said my psa is ok now. I now have numb feet worse on side than the other and urination problem with dark tea colored urine several times a night. What can I do now to improve myself so I can see my great grand children and grand children some day when my kids let me or I just go over and suffer the consequences’?

The numbness in your feet are due to decreased sensations.
Many causes of such sensations in the toes are there. These include injury to the back or spinal cord, Lack of blood supply to the legs as a result of plaque formation in the blood vessels, diabetes, stroke, multiple sclerosis and underactive thyroid. Abnormal levels of calcium, potassium, or sodium in your body and a lack of vitamin B12 can also cause numbness sensation.
Firstly, I’ll request you to get your blood sugar/HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin) tested to rule out Diabetes mellitus. Also get your thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the symptoms improve.
