What Causes Numbness In Scrotum Post Urethroplasty Surgery?

Question: 10 months ago I had Urethroplasty surgery because of a stricture. I have numbness on the bottom of my Scruton, testicles and bottom of my penis .Doc says he never had this happen to him. I have waited 10 months to see any recovery and all I get is .I don't know what to do now but wait.

Loss of sensation to scrotum base and penis tip can be a complication of urethroplasty operation as nerve supplying this region can be involved during surgery.
Some recovery may occur with time after reinnervation of nerve fibers.

Can I have permanent damage to area, and it be fixed by surgery againg

There is a possibility of permanent damage.
Surgical treatment is less likely now as nerves are very small. You can once discuss with your urologist and also have a consultation from a plastic surgeon.
